Passing of NICB Vice President, Brian Smidt
DES PLAINES, Ill., July 30, 2020 — It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Brian Smidt. Smidt was the Vice President of Data Analytics, and was a valued member of the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) senior leadership team with more than 30 years of service to the organization.
Smidt began his NICB career in 1990 as a programmer, was later assigned to the membership team, and also served as the IT manager prior to becoming Vice President of Data Analytics.
He was a dedicated leader who challenged and supported his colleagues on a daily basis. He made a significant impact on the many people’s lives he touched, personally and professionally. His dedication and commitment was an integral part of NICB's success, and he made significant contributions to the organization.
